A 66" Ravenstyk would be a nice bow to have...for me anyway. They don't make that model anymore that I am aware of.

I've only had the 3 piece recurve, bad grip, otherwise pretty nice. And the Mystical longbow, which I still have, but is not my favorite longbow, though I sure like it. The refinement of the bows is great particularly for that time, mine came out of the late 80s, or maybe the 90s. Nothing about them that puts them near the top though. In fact, when I bought the longbow I tried out a few others that actually shot better, but I sure wanted an all Osage bow...
The Mystical is now my go to power building bow. It is now too heavy for me to shoot accurately, but I use it a lot to build strength.
Notwithstanding whatever nonsense is in the current TB mag, the Mystical, was an R/D longbow, before it was decided things might go easier if that term was applied to hybrids.

I had a Mystical that I thought was as good as any bow made of that design. It was too heavy for me after awhile so I sold it. I don't think you can get a better longbow than that one. It was 66" and 57#.

Fatal styk - without a doubt. Another post disliked the grip - but its among my favorite. Lines on the riser are really nice in my opinion. mg

"I had a Mystical that I thought was as good as any bow made of that design."
Not to be picky, but that tends to be true. The glass comes from Gordon, and the wood from Mother Nature, people use the same glue, and often the same finish. So if the design is the same, it falls into an all else being equal deal.
The two things I didn't like about it was that it was R/D, which is just a preference I don't have, and the dished grip. Still a great bow. I'm just picky. Also, it probably would have been better in another wood, but that choice is on me.
One other thing, is the glue lines are very visible. But they have certainly held up.
The tillering and shaping are all nicely refined. Back when I bought it, a lot of bows had gloss finishes, but this one has a nice satin finish. I think that was a problem with the "better" bow I shot at the same time. I bought mine at Silver Arrow, tried it out with a Lan tab. Didn't buy the tab as the bow maxed me out. Been chasing one of those tabs ever since, till I started making them. Not that they are any better than many other tabs, but they are a nice option.

My Bamboo Purist. It's 57@26 and is still my fastest longbow. It's really too strong for me and I was going to sell it but now I'm having second thoughts. I haven't shot all the Robertson bows but I'm sure most if not all are good.

The Montana Falcon was my dream bow for many years...finally got one and could not shoot it but I loved to look at it. I have also had Fatal Styk and Vision Falcons...and loved them as well but sold them to others that would shoot them more than I did.
I now have a Primal Styk and also a Wolfer...two sweet shooting bows. I may get a one piece Tribal Stick or another Fatal Styk one day but resolved to finish the year with the Wolfer. Started with it for turkey this year and no shots appeared...then bear hunting in Saskatchewan and she drew blood on a big bruin...now trying to draw blood on one of our very wary whitetails here in the Lowcountry.
keep em sharp,

For over 30 years my Prairie Falcon Recurve and Vision TD with Connection Hinge. Sold both this spring (too heavy now) to two lucky and happy leatherwallers; and treated my self to a 50# Wolfer, #45/70; Felt real guilty at first, but got over it and hope I can shoot it for the next 20 or so, the good lord willing.
