Knifeguy has asked me to post some pics for him that he thinks (was told) is a 50's Hoyt.

Please give your opinion on the maker and date for Knifeguy.

Come on guys....no one has an opinion on this vintage stick?

I think it favors an old Cravotta Brothers bow myself. They are usually marked well though. Just my guess.

Need some more detailed pictures. There really isn't much shown that makes it stand out from 1,000 other bows. Close up of the writing and so on.

I'm pretty sure that is a Hoyt Pro. I am no expert, but I happen to have a Hoyt Pro that looks just like that one. One of your pics seems to show part of "Pro" written on a limb.

I think it's a Hoyt too. They used that woven glass well into the late 50s.

Look at this thread for some pictures of Hoyt Pro's

Thanks for posting the photos Jim. Thanks for the help guys. I just wanted to be sure of what it is before I passed it on. Lance.

I believe it is a Hoyt Pro from prior to 1956. It looks to be made from maple. - lbg

There was one that looked just like that hanging on Roy Coursey's garage wall; when I asked what it was he told me it was a Hoyt. But...the early Shakespeare's looked a lot like that as well.
