Hey Rick. I just gave up that fr*&^%ng game and have plenty of those tees and balls so if you need replacements, let me know. Might try that shot myself. Always looking for a new target shooting approach.
George, when you call me little brother it always puts a big ole grin on my face. Love Ya BroGeo. 8^)
Last night I thought about this shot a lot. There were two things causing me trouble: (1) I could not see the tee. I see the ball well, and was just trying to focus above it.
(2) It was all swinging in a circle instead of a nice straight swing.
The solution I hope will be: (1) I painted the tee red, and (2) I glued the string so it runs straight off the tip of the tee.
It's to hot to go out & try it now, but we'll see if the modifications help after while when it cools down.
It may be a week, a month, or even a year from now, but I'll get it done. LOL
The hardest thing about a shot like this is timing the swing. At 10 to 15 yards with a fast bow you can almost shoot directly at the target & hit it. Beyond 20 yards it gets a little more tricky, and you have to lead the target quite a bit.
I'm not going to cut my hair, or shave until I get this one in the books.
Awesome Rick. What a great idea for a shot. What are you looking at when you shoot Rick? When I am shooting at a single item like that I am hunting it down. When I do a shot like the two swinging candles I am picturing the space in between the two and shooting for that. Just curious about how you do it too.
Brings back memories rick i used to do the same thing with ping pong balls hung out in front of the butt,i hit one several times at 20 yards but never penetrated one.
