Hello Boys,
So I have a 13 year old nephew who is wanting to shoot a recurve/longbow. He hasn't had much shooting experience but loves to watch us adults shoot the heavier bows. Unfortunately, he cannot pull back 50# bows.
So, I was looking for a good kids bow for a young teen that pulls somewhere in the neighborhood of 35#-40#. I am not wanting to spend a lot of money but would go for 150.00-$200.00 range as he will likely grow out of it soon and need to trade up in weight. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Doug

Get a Black Bear riser or similar off the auction sight. Then pick up a pair of 20lb. or so limbs from Lancaster. You'll be within your budget and he will have a DANDY little bow.

Check out Mad Dog Archery, they have a young adult bow around 200-225. Omega sells a bow called the Lil 56 that is $200 or you can order it unfinished for $160 , but I think it is only in one draw weight of 25#. You can also check out Fuse recurves , my wife shoots one and you can get one of them for the price range you said. Fuse is owned by Hoyt .
