Hi everyone, I just won this Howatt Hunter on the big bidding site and was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if these quiver bushings look like something that was factory installed (because I know that DH/Martin did/does a lot of custom things like this) or if this was likely added after the fact. I won this for a song and a dance, so I'm still happy regardless, but it would be nice if this was a factory insert.

Looks like a DYI installation, doubt it was done in the factory.

Looks to me also like a DIY install.I have never seen quiver bushings on any factory Howatt, sometimes they will have a stabilizer bushing.

Nice Hunter. I doubt they are factory but they did take special orders, maybe Larry Hatfield can weigh in.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it, thanks for your input too Larry...I guess that clinches it! It seems like whoever did it did a fairly decent job, I just hate when people drill anything into these beautiful old bows!

By the way, any idea what year this was made? Serial # is 0144 I'm guessing it's from 1990? Thanks

It's not a 1990, that year had a laminated riser, might be a 1980
