Because I’m not getting any younger I’m going lighter on pull so I thought I’d try some really high tech limbs to retain performance with less pull weight. I decided on the Uukha and all I can say is WOW. These limbs are slim and thin with minimal tips (almost like pegs), and so light they give my Trad Tech a whole new feel. The limbs are a monolithic composition, not laminated, and have no wood or foam it the core. They should be nearly impervious to weather conditions.
They are also the best shooting limbs I’ve shot, smooth to draw but retaining stability. My set is the EX1, which is 25% carbon. I set up my bow with almost all the limb adjustment to give max pre-load to maximize the power stroke. I think this also makes a quieter bow and clean feeling shot sequence. I have tiller almost even although I shoot split, this works well with my high wrist style and long draw. Brace is set at 6-3/4”.
I could not find much feedback from shooters of these, which is the reason for posting. Target limbs maybe but they'll be hunting this fall.
