I just seen two older metal riser recurve bows. The limbs bolted onto the riser. I believe there were 2 bolts per limb. The riser material was similar to the current Black Swan riser. The one bow had a decal that said "The Winning Edge". Can you tell me the manufacturer, the approximate age and value. They were in mint condition. Thanks!

Glas-lite?

I'm with Lucas, likely a Glas-Lite aluminum riser with fiberglass limbs. The had a couple models, one was the Bushwhacker.

Without a photo you are sol. Did the limbs bolt onto the belly?

George, the limbs bolted on the back of the riser. The limbs looked like black glass.

Craig, it is likely a GlasLite then. The old Grimes had the limb butt sandwiched at the riser end and bolted with two bolts. Here is the GlasLite.

George, I would guess they were both GlasLite's. The riser/bow was heavy and had what I would call basically a high wrist grip. Any idea how these bows shot????

They have solid glass limbs so they likely won't be as lively as a laminated bow. That said, deer and other game have been taken with them, as well as other solid fiberglass limb bows. May be fun to give them a go.
