Recently, it was brought to my attention that most of you don't know what a great bow looks like. I thought I'd assist you in obtaining this knowledge by posting photos of three great bows!

This first pic shows Crookedstix as close as he'll ever get to the mighty Deathmaster!

This bow needs no introduction. You cannot get enough of it!

The 95' Howatt Hunter has potential. It's great in looks.

I hope this short study helps you folks in your search for great bows. Now, you'll all have an idea of what great bows look like. That's a good start.

Thanks Frisky but I shoot longbows any hope for me to find a good one.

No.

Dang it :-)

However, Sentman bows might suffice. Maybe J.D. Berry (according to him) or Jerry Hill. Maybe even an old Skookum. These are great in the inferior class of bow.

Thank you for a little hope.

Gotta agree about the Sentman's being worthy of classified as some of the greats

Thanks from me too for a little bit of HOPE until I come to my senses and give up the longbow!

Love the green glass. Take that bow to your next shoot in this.

Wish I had that Edsel. I remember when they first appeared, then disappeared.

From: Frisky

There always has to be someone who tries to throw cold water on greatness. No Edsel or longbow will ever have the sheer beauty of a Drake Hunter-Flight!

Most of those boys look defective......the tips are curled over.

Lololo :) O $%!! :) nice bows JF

Crookedstix shot the Bear Super Kodiak. His response- "Like shooting a club."

How does one "shoot" a club? I thought you either beat someone with it or, in some cases, throw it. But shoot it?

More great looking Sentmans, since I know you love the longbows so much!

No cold water here. I have a couple of bows with the retro green glass. They're classics. I spent $26K on this ugly green bike.

Those particular Sentmans look slow as slugs, as does that bike. Here's a real bike!

I know you can't get enough, Frisky. Another of my Sentmans---spits my 2020s like HOT FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Frisky

That is a very traditional looking bow.

Just renamed Gordon's......Or the Royal Line of Bows...you pick.

From: Catsailor
Date: 24-Aug-15

Frisky, that's like telling a mother her baby is ugly. Btw, I killed a doe and the fawn she was ready to drop with that bike up in Sturgeon Bay a few years ago. Good thing I had my wife on the back to give me the extra momentum to plow thru that deer. Didn't drop the bike thankfully. Still had $7,000.00 damage to the bike.

From: LBshooter
Date: 24-Aug-15

Sorry Frisky, I would have to disagree with your picks, simply due to the fact they are wrong handed ??

From: matt Ewing
Date: 24-Aug-15

Kent your killing me with that last batch of pics. Very nice bows!

From: Kent Alan
Date: 24-Aug-15

YEAH! Too bad Gary Sentman's pretty much retired...I need to e-mail the ol' dog
