Ernie took the photo for the cover of this 1966 Wing catalog showing Bob Lee shooting at mule deer buck being stalked by a mountain lion. It was Ernie's pet lion, shown on the book cover above.

Lord watch over this feller and give his family and friend some peace full knowing what he lived and stood for while he was alive all that you blessed him with.

Amen

I stopped in his shop in 1992 and he had a Skunk Skin Rug there for sale Must have been close to a 100 Shunk Hides sewed together in that rug..It was round starting with five or six hides then more sewed to those..It was one of the prettiest things I have ever seen and if I'd had a spare $1.500.00 with me I'd have bought it..1500 hundred dollars worth of Skunk Hides is a lot of hides..Ernie is also pictured in a 1970 Wing catalog. holding a Wing Chaparral Bow..He also killed one of the last Grizzly Bears in Colorado..When he was a Goverment trapper.

Did Shakespere use Ernie in some of their adds..I did ran across an old Shakspere add which appears to be a painting of Ernie shooting a Shakespere bow.
