Last shoot of the year for KTBA and it's an important one. Money raised goes to help with a local Archery in the Schools Program in Kentucky. The shoot is Aug 29 at the Mercer County Fish and Game just outside of Harrodsburg Kentucky. Folks donate items for a silent auction. Lots of good food. I'll be smoking up a couple pork butts. This is a great chance to give back to Archery. Kids with genesis bows are welcome. You can shoot for score or shoot for fun (though I think scoring IS fun). Think the gate opens about 8 am. Looking forward to a great turnout.

Thanks for posting Straight, What he said is all spot on, over the years KTBA has raised and donated thousands of dollars to NASP, and even gotten several schools started in the program that did not have any other funds. So if you want to help NASP, please come and bid on items. We usually have two custom made bows up for raffle.

It's a 30 target shoot. Some great targets too. Lot of Rhineharts. This is a great opportunity (and the last one this year)for the folks from Indiana to cross the border and try their luck. I've got my game face on.

Let's support the kids.

Thanks

all money raised from the auction/raffling of donated items goes to a school to purchase NASP equipment. So bring items to donate, a sack full of cash, or BOTH !!! LOL

This would also be a great opportunity for an archery coach to bring their school team to a shoot. It might be a new experience for some and at least a time for the kids to bond as a team. Short of that, maybe encourage parents to bring their kids to the shoot (for extra credit!).

I was lucky and had parents who both shot bows. I'm sure that's how lots of folks got into archery, but now with NASP, kids all over the state are afforded the chance to take up the sport and do great things. So come on out, have fun and help support a school.

Had a great turnout, and lots of donations and raffle tickets bought, big success for NASP ! I'm proud to say that KTBA has raised thousands of dollars over the years for NASP, money that will teach our kids a sport that many would never have been exposed to.

I had a great time today! Seen some familliar faces and friends and made a few new ones. Allways a great shoot and for a great cause! Tip of the Hat to the KTBA and the NASP program.

Cant say enough too for the Boyle county NASP team that comes out and works this, and the KyTradfest. They completely took care of the registration, selling of raffle tickets, handling the monies raised by donated auction items, and all food prep and cleanup. These parents, and kids deserve all we can give them. They ran the aireaal shoot and long shot at the KyTradFest as well. I hope they can purchase the best of everything, and go far in their competitions. They deserve the biggest round of applause, this is an arrangement that has just worked out the best.

What a great turnout. Couldn't ask for a better day. Would've been perfect for me but for many fives right in a row. Think somebody started talking politics. Should've listened to my wife,"concentrate dummy". It was good to see folks we haven't seen in a couple years.

Thanks to everyone who made the day possible. Lots of good donations. Thanks to Herway Bows and Crooked Stick. Those bows looked great. You guys always do a wonderful job.

Thanks to all the NASP kids and parents. Thanks to all the Indiana folks who came in (including Steve). I hope to make your shoot in September. Meanwhile safe journey.

Turns out almost $2500 was raised for NASP from this shoot. Special thanks to all that donated time, work, money to make this happen. Many kids will now get to enjoy our sport, that may have had a tough time doing it.
