I just bought a Browning Cobra II.What was the recommended brace ht. for this Bow.I have it set on "8,super fast,but noisy.I'm playing around (adjusting)but can't seem to make it as quite as my Explorer I though.

I owned both of those bows once, and 73/4--8" was were I had mine It was a quick sweet bow and actually felt smoother to draw than the Exp which was 4"longer

I don't know... if the bow of which you're asking is a long bow or recurve. Assuming it is the latter and to get you in the ballpark, so to speak, the BH for recurve bows is approximately anywhere from 8" to 9."

Advice was give to me a while back to set the brace height to where the string just starts to lift out of the limb groove. Adjust from there. Lance.

My Cobra II is 7.5-8...I use 7 3/4 when strung...

Browning didn't make a longbow. The Cobra II is the 58" version of the Cobra. The Cobra I is 50". I would think 8" would be close but check to see where the string rides in the groove just below the notch. Some of those bows liked a high brace. I would be afraid to try 8 1/4 to 8 1/2. Brace is where "you" like it and where it performs best but isn't noisy. I generally prefer my bows on the high side of brace.
