I got lucky at Comptons and picked up some 75/95 Gold Tip Camo hunters. Can I adapt these for a 60# Black Widow by adding weight to the front to lower spine or are they only suitable for a Compound bow? The price was to low to refuse. I do have friends to hand them down to but if possible would like to hunt with them.

You should be able to use them since the BW is past center cut. Depends too on how long you want them. I would think they would be okay with a little tuning. What's your draw length/arrow length? Can't say without that information. String material?

I can shoot them out of my Tolke Whip longbow that has a 12 strand D97 string and is 60lbs at 31" and I draw the full 31". They are set up with 50 grain inserts and 125 grain tips.

OK, I'm confused...GT 75/95 Camo were always .340 spine. Have they changed the new ones now?

75/95 = 300 spine GT is one of the few manufactures that make a faux wood carbon in 300 spine.

Black Widow 3/16 past center , and they shoot hard , should be fine pending on length and tip wt. Try it you'll find out quickly ,most will tell ya to stiff , most everything I shoot (carbons) everyone says will be to stiff , but work great for me , and my eye sight is 20/20 ,, good luck ..

they no longer make 75/95 .300. They are .340 now.

I'm thinking, leaving the arrows full length. My Draw weight is 28". I also have multiple weight points up to 200 gr. I picked them up from my buddy Big Jim. Don't know if there still being made but there great looking arrows. I also shoot Big Jim TD. 52# I picked up 12 doz. I have lots of friends that are both Trad and Compound shooters. Selling a few will be my plan. There printed BLEMS, I sure can't see why

For the record...All 7595's are 300 spine except black shafts period! they were once listed on their site as 340's but that was a misprint.

The new shafts all have a new numbering system that correlate with the actual spine ie, 600, 500, 400, 340.

Wood grain is no longer available in the 300 spine.

Acadien, you should have no problem getting those shafts to shoot out of that black widow, but you need to get some brass inserts or 300 g points when you get to Denton Hill. Just my opinion. They will be too stiff for that new bow you got from me though... better off with a .500 or a longer .400 out of it.

I shoot those arrows cut to 29.5" with 50 gr. insert and 125 grain head out of my 60# Bob Lee Recurve and they shoot great.

Ddave, cant understand that statement at all. Easton never has offered a .300 spine woodgrain to discontinue. Gold tip did and there wasn't enough demand so they changed. Yet they still offer it in another color.

I too sell Easton but would starve to death off of the sales. Too many people frown on the cost of the Easton goods.
