Today's shot will be the 'Horizontal Obstruction' shot from 25 yards. This is the shot where there is something about half way between you and the target, at about 12 or 15 yards, that blocks your vision to the kill zone. The obstruction makes it hard to focus on your 'spot'. You naturally want to focus on the obstruction, but your arrow should arc over the object without any issues. It is only your vision that is partially blocked. Share a pic of your view to the target if you like as well. Shoot safe!

God Bless,

CD

Good Morning! Thank you CD for making the call. H-O shots are difficult for me, couldn't get past the obstruction. Took the second shot for practice and it went low this time. But I like the vertical alignment. More practice! :) hope everyone have safe day today! -ted

Did better than I thought I would. Great challenge. I need to work on my lob. Thank you CD.

Zonic, I vote for you for having the most entertaining horizontal obstruction!

Cottonwood88's puppy's butt in the picture is a close 2nd, but it is more of a distraction than an obstruction.

Good shooting both of you. :-)

Yea I have to be careful with the neighbors ;)

I don't know if you can see the top of my target back there - but it was almost 100% obstructed. I did have a difficult time finding the right combination of objects. In the end the lawn chair worked better than the cloths basket. The basketball made feed bag just a hair too high. But I think it actually helped to make me focus on only the very top of my target from 25.

I was so amazed at first shot had to take a second. Now I don't know which was first. Now I'm doubly amazed. I don't normally shoot this good . Thanks CD . Happy days to all

Maybe I need to quit FS for a while. I've done this this past three times I've tried a FS......missed horribly on the first shot then "nailed" the second shot. I must have a mental problem ;-)

Extremely frustrated.

Shot as called with my Jet longbow. The branches on this little Locust tree growing on my range worked out perfect for the shot call. Heres the set up.

The target. cant see the bulls eye. Tough shot but fun. northern mist Baraga marked 51 @ 28" I pull it 27.5 and scales 50lb for me. Arrows Trad only carbon 600 @28.7in with 125 points.

The shot was a little high but ill take it unless you say it was a rabbit. Arrow hardly dropped any as this thing is shooting flat with the light arrows but the bow is still really quiet.

I took my shot from both knees over the top of of a plastic lawn chair. If you look close, you may be able see the target in the woods...

I couldn't resist....took three shots instead of one. Aiming for the dot on the right, middle one (closest to the arrows). Second shot hit the branch and slid a little to the right. My first was the closest...should have quit while I was ahead.

First time participating in this as well.
