Looking for any information about the maker of this bow just bought one 62 at 46 thanks

Need to see a picture. But that being said I would guess it was made in 1973 or 2974 when Victor Comptometer owned Bear archery. Is it a 1 piece or a takedown?

No, it is not a bear bow thanks.

Do you have a picture? Because there were a number of Bear bows that were made with the Victor emblem on them during the time period that I mentioned.

No this bow has no emblems just gladiator victor written on side of riser sorry i will try and work on picture.

digdug, does the writing look anything like this? I know almost nothing about this bow in my collection, called a Gladiator Spartacus.

Yes, that it but no accent wood in the riser any idea who made these bows.

I bought the Spartacus from the niece of the original owner, for whom she says it was custom made. The bowyer was named Ellis, and he later went to work fro Fred Bear (according to niece). I haven't been able to find any more information.

Thanks for the information l did some research, this is what l found bill or billy ellis of gladiator bows 1966 grand ledge michigan also bill wrote a poem for fred bear funeral that is on the archery hall of fame site.

Gene was my father-in-law. Passed away in Arizona. His daughter Sue and I live in NC. Gene worked for PSE for a few years in Tucson. Currently looking for one of his bows to pass down through our family. Sons and grandkids. Wayne
