The Sherwood Traditional Archers of Roanoke, VA recently held their annual shoot. They raffled off a Bear Kodiak Magnum, and I was fortunate enough to have my name drawn as winner.

I was informed it would be about two months, so imagine my surprise when I was informed it was waiting for me at Lancaster Archery! I work about a mile from the showroom, so I stopped after work and picked it up.

It is 45#, and now gives me time to practice before taking it to Denton Hill in JUly.

Congratulations, that is a great looking bow. I think my marriage would be in trouble if I worked about a mile from Lancaster Archery! Lol!

That is how the raw wood accepted the colored resin during impregnation. Used to see many of those in the 70's as well. I like it better than the laminated green.

That is nice, I kind of like the KMag. Thanks for sharing.

Is that a mistake or is it the way it was supposed to be? Jim

Bear calls them "birthmarks". That one has a lot, I like it! Wish mine had some.

RMS Gear has a Kmag for sale that has quite a bit.

Thanks, everyone! It shoots well...it is definitely going into the deer woods with me this fall.....Denton Hill will be a great test drive for it and me.....

Much thanks to the Sherwood Traditional Archers for holding the raffle....that shoot is definitely on my bucket list for next year....

At Baltimore Bowmens Traditional Shoot I bought my customary dozen tapered cedar arrows from Jim Rebuck of J&M Traditions, and they are a perfect match for this bow.....

Your bow looks pretty sweet! I just bought a 2014 leftover from Big Jim that I really like it too is 45# and I gotta say its really a much nicer bow than I thought it would be when I ordered it. He has the 40 and 45 pound leftovers for 299.99 shipped. I don't really care for the riser inserts but I'll make a single arrow quiver for it and it'll be good to go. Hope to see your bow in person at ETAR.
