I've never been there.

Yet I've stomped those mts and fields in the area all my life. I remember when a couple of the farmers on out the road didn't even fence in their cattle, many of the dirt rds had a strip of grass growing in the middle.

If you feel like exploring, if you continue past sawmill that rd turns to dirt (eventually dead ends by my parents farm) You will come to a stop sign, turn right on Big run rd, (also dirt) that rd travels through the mts and ends on 414 by blackwell and Pine creek, which by the way is top notch trout fishing, the whole pine creek gorge is very scenic especially up in the canyon. Here is a pic of Pine creek from the rim.

I still have a lot of family tucked away in those hills.

Heading up Friday mourning. Sounds like decent weather that day. Although any day shooting my bow is better than working! Have fun all.

Think I am going to pass this year. Was going to head up tomorrow but 5 hour drive to face an all day rain of Saturday is just not inviting. Should have left yesterday:(

Just got back from a day of shooting. Everything seems to be the norm. Only saw Jim Rebuck there in his booth outside. Nothing inside except food. Didn't really walk past Jim's booth to look for any other vendors. Campers were coming in all day and by 5:00, they had pretty much set up and were talking to the fellow campers when we walked up from the Pig Pen course. Lots of new R&W targets this year. One good thing, no one in our group had a tick on them. Started raining at 5:30 and the report for the rest of the weekend was some rain. All in all, good shoot, we had a good time.

I went today instead of tomorrow. Shot the mountain course with John Sweka and had a great time. We both shot bows we had built off from a form I made years ago that John owns now.
