Has anyone had any experience using plexi glass as a laminate between wood in a riser? Can it be used? Your opinion would be appreciated.

There is some riser flex always-I think the plexiglass I'm thinking of would crack.

I think you should try it and report back.

seriously thinking about it. The glass I have is flexible. I am trying to repair a cracked riser.

Worth a try!

In a limb it would crack for sure. In a riser I'm not sure, I think it would discolor over time. Also in not sure how easy it is to glue together. I've tried to laminate multiple pieces together before using a glue that was supposed to work and it wasn't very efficient. Just food for thought.

Glued two pieces together using clear JB weld, seems to be holding. I think I'll give it a try . Nothing to lose. Just hope it holds to the wood.

Plexi glass failed. Didn't hold to wood. I'll try to find a piece of laminate. Just can't see buying a whole strip if all I need is a 2in. x 6in x 1/8 piece.
