I have recently aquired a bear mag riser. Problem is I'm not sure what one it is A B or C. How do you identify? I need to know so I can order appropriate string. Any help would be appreciated.

Measure it. App 16" on the A, 20 on the B, 24 on the C.

Label in socket. Does this riser have flip over latches?

Yes on the flip latches. I ordered a new one from three rivers. One of the clips that hold the latch is broke. I think it's a b mag. It measures 20" fom latch to latch.

It's a B then.

Can I string up this bow or do the latches need to be secured with the clips?

You can string it. The limbs actually are held in place without the latch.

Ok thank you so much for all your help.

Easier than measuring. On the rib in the upper limb pocket is the stamped serial number. Starting letter is the riser type.

Does anyone know the brace height for a B mag 60" bow?

Most Bear shooters will say 7 3/4 to 8 1/2. Bear now recommends the same I believe. My experience says 8" for my Bear's. Remember your choice of arrows may require a little tweaking. Enjoy your Mag Riser.
