Today's shot will be the twister and vertical obstruction combination from 17 yards.

The twister is where you face away from the target then 'twist' around without moving you feet to make the shot.

The vertical obstruction shot is when you have only a small gap to shoot between some vertical obstructions (trees, sticks, anything) to get your arrow to the target.

God Bless,

Here's a pic I took at the Tannehill Spring Fling shoot earlier this year... a 'semi-obstruction' shot... (no the bows weren't the obstructions!!! haha)

Check out the arrow marks on the tree on the left! Ouch!!! LOL

Thanks CD. I am loving the target flash.Today's first shot was the twister with vertical obstruction from 17 yds. I missed high and wide. It actually was uncomfortable for my back and I failed to concentrate. The next shooting from 12 yds straight on was much better but I still managed to put 2 in the tree or left of the cane in this case. Thank goodness for simulated trees. I like the chain saw oil bottle. I will eventually be aiming at the green cap. It should help and shooting around all kinds of obstructions is helpful also.

CD me thinks too many people were focused on the tree the way it is shot up. Was that just from the one shoot or is the target there throughout the year.

You are braver than I am Flash ! LOL.

I took the FS as called, using my Mark Kimber Huntsman. Missed 5" low. The next "shot that doesn't count" was right on the money too.

I didn't have time to post the picture this morning - hopefully late tonight.

At least I hit the pig today. My excuse is it's raining again. Good Greif, been raining for like a month now and my pond is only about half full. Anywho, shooting the Long Hunter 35# RD with 1535GT Trad with 145 Point. Randy

Off work today so got my shot in early. Very happy with it as I was having some problems the last week or so. I was not doing two things right. I remember someone posting get a grip which I was not doing right from the start. The other thing was not pulling to full draw as it seems to take extra effort on that first shot when you feel every injury in life until you warm up some and hopefully feel better. Bear Montana 50lb Easton 1916 145gr. Still shooting the stock string it came with.

Not today. Follow up was pretty good shot. I took my eye off the spot on the first shot......I know I didn't maintain focus. Not shooting well this week.

64 and sunny for today's shot. Tried my Bear Takedown B riser with #3 limbs. I don't have the confidence that Flash has. If I shot at a beer can between two metal posts you'd see 11 more empty beer cans scattered around the area. Shooting at a beer can is kind of disrespectful to an industry that has helped so many people in so many ways. :)
