Life goes on. And so does the rove. Although I have been very busy this year I have not missed a rove, but my time for posting has diminished. Let's see if I can get some good pics up....

Beautiful Dog! You gotta be proud of those girls. My son and I took up archery to be able to do something together last June. We used to shoot guns at the range in competitions but that got messed up. I really think we enjoy the archery a lot better. Randy

These are really cool. The glass insulator is a great find. My folks had several of them. I know enough to know that people collect those with a passion. Are the animated shots edited video or a string of photos? That's a way cool group of shrooms. Thanks for sharing.

From: Hinterland Rover
Date: 25-May-15

Thanks DaGunz. The animated gif's are strings of photos.

The insulator is a little bizarre; the area where it was found we have found a bunch of electrical transmission remnants. I pulled out a really big ceramic insulator and there are numerous broken ones there. The odd thing is there are no transmission lines anywhere near this area; no people, no homes, one lonely dirt road that dead ends....

From: robert
Date: 25-May-15

Those are some great photos, and it sure looks like a great time, shooting stuff and having fun.

From: DaGunz
Date: 25-May-15

I bet that those insulators were excess and got dumped. I found what looks like a mound of dirt that's actually a pile of timbers held together with cable. they've not been there that long. Someone dumped them and covered them.

Thanks again. Awesome pics. Always wish I was there after seeing your roves. So far, this is the best one - Imo. Was your daughter successful in distracting Sir Phillip?

From: Hinterland Rover
Date: 26-May-15

Thanks guys.

lowcountry- Nope. Philip has a very steadfast focus.

DaGunz- if the insulators were dumped it was from a helicopter... which is my best guess. Not near a road and up on a fairly steep ridge, and there are a lot of them.... mostly the big ceramic kind.

From: DaGunz

...going into sensory overload....

What a great way to spend time together. I wouldn't get much roving done with over looks like that.

Even in these lowly Appalachian foothills, I often have to stop and just absorb the scenery. Vistas like that are a real privilege to view.

Thanks as always for sharing. Not many would post an image of their wife in her birthday suit. 8^)
