I know these don't show up very often, but man what a great bow. These things are pretty light and well built, the arrow almost sits on your hand. Plus it's a beautiful bow to look at. It shoots hard for a 45#er, this Wesley Radcliffe knew what he was doing!

When I got it from the seller the bottom limb was twisted to the point I was afraid to shoot it, I was sick. So I went back thur the thread and found out all the ways to take the twist out. I used the hair dryer method and got most of it out. If anyone has a West Bow post it up.

I've had four or five of them including an Orion that had s solid black phenolic riser. At the time I was selling a lot of used bows including a lot of Bear collectables in that site. The Orion was one of the highest selling bows I ever put up for sale.

Every one of those bows I have owned were just awesome classics with really fine workmanship.

God bless, Steve

I thought I read somewhere that they were a Texas company and were bought out by Wing?

According to a old thread on here the guy that build these was from Houston, Texas and he built bows in the late 50's and early 60's. In the thread SKATE50 said it was his father Wesley Ratcliffe that built these fine bows. Sometime his bows are confused with the Galaxy series the Cravotta Bro. had out at the time. I have only seen photos of the Jupiter and Jupiter hunter models.

I have a Jupiter Hunter. West Bows are a bit of an enigma.Like Wing, they were built in Houston very close to the Wing facility and I think they preceded Wing.I also theorize Bob Lee might have worked there and then started Wing as the tips and hooks bear a striking resembalance to Wing's. Kelly and I discussed this and the timeline seems to fit. There was only ever one post by skate50 and his father Wesley Radcliffe and the short timeline of manufacturing he stated does not reflect the different look of the various West Bows I have seen. Unfortunately, His statements were never verified and he never followed up as promised. I think West Bows were likely made from the mid 50's on. Finally, as others have stated, they are often confused with Cravotta's Galaxy series. All West Bow's have a West Bow decal.
