I picked up a 45# Kodiak Magnum and I've been having a ball shooting it. I draw a hair over 28" and shoot three under and its fine, no problems at all with pinch. its a greenie in good shape save for a few scratches. Im gonna camo it and hunt turkeys with it. who knows maybe deer this fall too. Im hitting very well with it and cant seem to put it down. anyone have photos from hunting with a Kodiak Mag? have a great weekend everyone. rob

Congrats on your K-mag. I have a '76 Greenie and it's my favorite bow. I'm shooting 28" 2016's Autumn Orange lites with 5" shield cut feathers. I find that this bow and I just "fit". I draw just shy of 28" and shot this bow every weekend for years before I found others that I also like to shoot. Now you got me in the mood, I think the K-Mag is going to make it outside today. People have been hunting with the Kodiak Magnums since 1961, so there is likely plenty of photos to be found somewhere. At one time, it was the flagship hunting bow back here in the wooded east. I considered it a hunting bow, not a creature specific model....or a tree stand bow, etc. They are plenty accurate out to even long range, depending on the shooter.

I watched your shooting video George, plenty impressive! I haven't even tuned this bow and its shooting as well as anything I own and I have a few nice bows. There's just something super fun with this bow, my son has a '76 greenie at 40 lbs and I cant shoot that to save my life.

Shot mine today. My green one was stolen so am shooting a new one that was discounted at big jims.

Yep Rob, it can be in interesting anomaly that you can take five bows of the same model, and they all will feel a little different.

I made my own longbows and try as I might each one was a little different in shooting characteristics too.

I love my kmags! They are what I shoot the best and enjoy shooting! I've got a 71 a 76ish greenie, and a 2014 factory camo. Love them all but I have been shooting the newer camo finish the most! Its super cool

Great little bow perfect for hunting and just about any kind of shooting.I also have a 52" red wing hunter that shoots really good.

I've always been attracted to those little bows I shoot them well, but keep wondering if I'm doing something wrong since so many folks say the K-Mags are sensitive and difficult to shoot accurately. Funny how what others say about a bow often influences a rational person's opinion of it even when his personal experience indicates just the opposite!

If you say you can (shoot a mag) or say you can't, you will be right! I am amazed at how many people just can't shoot something due to someone else's opinion. enjoy...they are sweet bows. bigjim

I bought mine from a Bear Archery salesmen just after compounds came out for 25$ (should have a bought a few more), I always thought I'd keep for nostalgia but after 20 years I strung it up and took this doe with it.

It's too short for me but I still use it to shoot flying carp!
