Just finished stringing up the first bow out of my dads form. Finished 40#@@8". Not to bad for my first attempt at core making, got the effect I was after.

Dads riser came out 39# with a tad heavy upper limb, should finish at 38#. carbon/foam bow is 43# and tiller is perfect. Was really hoping these 2 bows would come out the same weight. But dads riser is not "legal" hunting weight and I'm not going to knock 5# off the other bow just to test materials against each other.

That's all!

Be honest I don't know. Dad changed this form after that one I have of his was built. Its more open in the tips now so I don't know about the speed. Going to see if my chrony still works, see what I got laying around to run through it. Far as stability goes should be very good. The force curve also on this bow is only 2ppi from 26"-30" of draw!

If I make it to Davenport will make sure I have 1 or 2 in tow!

Take care, Old

I hope those are not nails in the studs that you are hanging your bows on. I learned a bad lesson that way...scratches come mighty easily.

oh definitely if you can make it bring a couple of your bows really like to see them in person they look pretty nice. Jeff F
