Jess made another masterpiece . 48" 46@26". Riser is walnut and snakewood. Limbs are spliced curly kow and spalted maple. Bow shoots great.

I've gotten 4 bows from him, each one better than the next.

Just took a look at Sierra Blanca's website after seeing PD's beautiful bow. Mr. Stuart's "DESIGN THOUGHTS, IDEAS, AND PHILOSOPHIES" impressed me as a down to earth, common sense, good read.

I've just taken a look at their website as well ... some very beautiful bows on display.

Very nice looking bow and I don't believe you could deal with a nicer fellow.

I'm refreshingly impressed. And just fwiw, it takes more than a little sump/sumpin' of a glass bow to impress me. I don't want to jump the gun though, and would like to see full length pics of that bow unstrung and fully drawn, perhaps even to 28-29" if it's capable, to better evaluate the craftsmanship that seems apparent on the surface. It offers so many challenges to the bowyer and potential rewards to the archer. I like it. Might have to investigate :^)

Tasteful, classy coordination of materials too. Beauty and function hopelessly intertwined... as it should be, imo. 'Real' bowyers do that... whether in glass/wood or all natural materials... it's immaterial... Respect is respect.

Good bow.

It's still captured my gaze... I'd like to see more radius on the shelf... and hear tale of a few more dimensions...

The bow is based on the old Rocky Mtn Recurve. John Morris, who designed the original, didn't radius his shelves either. The bow can be drawn to 28" easily. However, I can only draw it to 26". Pics of the bows braced can be seen on Jesse's site.

Here is my 50" made on the same size riser as the 48".

These bows shoot very well for me and others who have tried them.

Very nice bow - I, too, am a huge fan of Jess Stuart as a person and bowyer. I have a 56" w 2 sets of limbs and have pretty much let the rest of my collection collect dust since it arrived.
