Curious what you Prairie Predator owners are running for nockset height on your bows. They seem to be very sensitive to hock height changes.

On my bow 9/16" high and I get a little kick on release (field tips). 7/16" high and a slight wobble on arrow flight (field tips).

1/2" is good with field tips, but not always as good with broadheads.

Setup: 60" AMO, 55#@28", drawing 28", FF String, Brace Height 6 7/8", split finger release, arrows: GT Expedition hunters, 35-55, full length(30.5"). 145 grain field tips/broadheads.

It makes absolutely no difference what height someone else has their nock set at you realize that don't you? If you're shooting flat off the shelf that's where the flight problems come from. A combination of tune and release.

Yeah I know it's an individual bow/shooter issue. I'm just wondering if there is any characteristics to the design of this bow where there is a consistent consensus of a higher or lower than nominal nockset height.

But thanks for the reply...Sometimes it helps to be reminded of common sense basics and not to think it to death......God Bless <><

I have that "analysis paralysis" issue at times as well.

Sounds to me like a total tuning issue if it's that finicky over that range. I would advise you to work on getting the right spine. There should be no difference between broadheads and field points if the right arrow is on the bow. I think you are looking to fix the wrong thing.

Mike emailed me. Asked if I Replaced super thin strike plate material. I did with industrial grade Velcro (alot thicker). Must have changed arrow spine need of bow. Put the thin plate back on and problem solved.
