I recently came across a pearson deadhead that is from the 60s or 70s based on the stuff I got with it from an old archery shop supply. It is completely unsharpened as in no edge or bevel whatsoever. Was this how they used to come or was it possibly a display? Just curious. Thanks for any input

Matt

Matt, Been A LONG TIME since I've looked at a Dead-Head but to my recollection, they came sharpened (somewhatly) or at least with a bevel so that they could be sharpened. Sounds like You MAY have a display model that people could look at or handle with out danger? Just my guess. Hope that some EXPERTS will chime in? BE WELL! Batman

They came machine sharpened. You probably have one that didn't make it to the final edge bevel grinding process.

I've seen some like that but can't remember when or where.

Maybe it was a practice broadhead?

Not a "practice broadhead". A head would slip through the line some times with out being sharpened or with the Razorhead, no bleeder slot. Another possibility is someone pulled the head from the production line for quality check or? Not a "special" or rare head.

May have been a reject. Employee then took them home?
