Tore apart a late 70's Ramco 48" 4 wheel compound. Cut down the side plates and put a set of FUSE bolt-on limbs. The thing shoots amazing very surprised. about 30# or so and I used a 9 strand Flemish FF AMO 66". I had to twist is up to get to about 8" brace . But dang it was fun. Got a couple more old compounds that are going to get the axe!

Wonder if this old Jennings wood handle would work? I bought it new in 75or76.

She's ugly but then I don't care if I bang it up a bit. Anybody want old compound limbs??

It might be an optical illusion but it looks out of tiller-more string/limb contact on right?

That tiger looks to have the right limb pad angles. I also have a Jennings like that. Mine was from 1974.

4nolz the upper limb is 1/4" further away than the bottom. The top 2 pics the limb tip on the right side , first pic its the bottom limb, next pic I flipped the bow to show the back side so the right side is top limb.

I keep waffling between clean it up paint it and do some Frankenstein graphics . Or say to heck with it and grab a Sharpie and write " Frankenbow" on the riser. But whatever I do the darn thing shoots way better than I ever thought it would.

The reason i like archery so much! Play time and exparamenting is a blast.

Ive put two Frankenbows together and I love having something that costs so little and shoots so well. Heck, I couldn't give away my old metal-risered 70's compound..now its my smoothest shooting recurve.

I'm going to make more that's for sure.

I had an old Wing recurve and I think the handle looked just like that. LOve the grip

About the only use I can see for a compound!!! Sure would be fair to kill something with one in a BOW SEASON.

I don't mean to be rude, but man, that old Jennings sure is butt ugly. May have been a fine bow, but... ;~)

Back in the day that was the "Mac Daddy" of compounds! But yea it's pretty ugly.
