What is the cheapest takedown longbow on the market? I prefer reflex deflex.

3 piece with good quality and a lifetime guarantee is probably the Omega. In a two piece I am not sure.

Define longbow, and whether 2 or 3 piece.

When I see someone wanting inexpensive I usually recommend used...spend some time watching the classifieds to sort out what makes sense

I'd be looking for a good Warf conversion and a used set of ILF longbow limbs. They'll do anything a factory riser will do, the limb choices are unlimited, and you can swap them out in a matter of minutes....

Define longbow? Am I missing something again?

"Herwaybows" made by Kevin Brown from Irvington, KY, or "Crooked Stick" bows made by Mike Miller from Indiana. Both good friends of mine, and both very affordable. Both will be attending the KyTradFest shoot in Harrodsburg , KY April 10, 11, 12 .

"Define longbow? Am I missing something again?"

Maybe, what do you think you are missing? "Longbow" is one of the most contested terms in archery. There are many, many ways of defining it. I assume you know that, but if not I can get into it.

Reflex deflex is also a tough one, not so much because people argue over it, but because:

- There is some discussion over whether it should be R/D or D/R. D/R is probably correct, but R/D is in common use.

- It refers to two different types of longbows. It isn't this simple, but for the sake of brevity one could say bows that are R/D strung or only when unstrung.

So it really helps when people don't want to have a thread that is all about the semantics, to just say what they mean up front.

- It also drags on into the whole is it a longbow thing.

Omg, I think its pretty easy to guess what the mate wants whether its a hill style, r/ d or whatever. ....back to topic...bama bows makes a nice takedown . Takedowns usually run a bit more due to the labor and extra parts however.

This one. I think I have about $65 in it. The Dryad limbs are awesome.

The reason that I asked for a definition of longbow is because it limits choices. There a number of offerings for 2 piece straight end longbows, not so many for 3 piece straight end longbows. LOTS of choices for deflex/reflex longbows in BOTH styles of assembly, including a WARF platform, which would be my choice.

so no, this isn't the case "Omg, I think its pretty easy to guess what the mate wants whether its a hill style, r/ d or whatever" had it been I wouldn't have asked the question.

One that just broke in half. Most times you can get them for free.
