I made a matching back quiver to match the plains style quiver I made...Its made from elk hide and lined in 4 ounce veggle tanned leather...Kind of a plain jane quiver but I find I like it...

I would not call that Plain Jane. Lots of flash if you ask me. Very Nice.

I managed to pick up a tanned buffalo hide with winter fur...I'm going to make a few quivers from it both back and plains style...I did this a few years ago from a hairy ole buffalo hide and they came out very different and very unique...Hairy ole buffalo is a real pain to hand stitch and work with but I think the finished results are worth the effort...

Nice craftsmanship - classy brace of quivers Rick.

I had a couple of guys ask me how well does elk hide hold up on a quiver...This back quiver I made for myself around 5 years ago...Its made from gold colored elk hide and lined in 4/5 ounce veggie tanned leather...Its been rained on...used hard...Dropped and thrown around...All its done is turned a wonderful dark color and has held up excellent...Age and lots of use seems to just make them better...
