The 11th annual "Howard Hill Southeastern Classic" will be held June 5th, 6th & 7th, 2015.

Held again at Tannehill Historical State Park in McCalla, AL ~ www.tannehill.org

Folks, there will be lots & lots of Vendors at this event, I'll start a new Thread later with a Vendors list.

This is a multi-round format with the highest score over the course of the weekend to determine the winners of each class. There will still be a Championship Shoot-Off held Saturday afternoon where the Top 30 Men & Top 15 Women will have a shoot down where the last Man & Woman standing will win a Custom Howard Hill Longbow. The first round score card turned in from the start on Friday until Saturday, last card turned in no later than 2:30 PM on Saturday will determine who the top shooters will be.

Range times start at 6 AM each morning and the range will shut down at 5 PM on Friday, 4 PM on Saturday & 12 Noon on Sunday.

The is a pay per round price and special weekend rates for singles & families.

There will be info coming later and especially a couple of very important announcements.

Folks, I need to announce that for the last 10 years, I've provided supper free to all that attend the Howard Hill Classic.

I'm sorry to tell everyone that because of the rising cost of food and even though the discount I was given, I can no longer afford to do this.

I can't continue to pay nearly $3,000.00 to buy the food and do this event. I cannot sell food at Tannehill and won't take donations because of the relationship I have with the concession people that have a contract to sell food at the Park.

NOW, there is some good news to this. There will be supper served Saturday night for those that are interested. The concession will have spaghetti & meatballs, salad, garlic bread & tea for only $7.00 per plate.

She served this at this year's Pre-Spring Arrow Fling and I'm here to tell ya, it was absolutely delicious as well as a huge serving of spaghetti & meatballs. You won't leave hungry. Trust me folks, you can't leave the Park and go get something as good and as inexpensive anywhere.

MORE GOOD NEWS!! I'll still be giving away hundreds of dollars worth of door prizes. After you all eat, I'll hand out door prize tickets at approximate 6:30 PM and start giving door prizes away at 7:00 PM. AND, if you have the spaghetti supper, you'll double your chances by getting TWO DOOR PRIZE TICKETS.

Dang,can't make it this year, first time since it stared years ago.

Sill a little shaky on the recent health issues, wouldn't want to be down there and have something crop up.

We will be packing up soon. Here's a preview of several of the new quivers we will have there in several cover combinations. The first photo is the one arrow Stalker quiver. The second photo is the Cochise series. We will plenty of other stuff also.

Yippee! At least 3 of my kids and I will be there - coming in on Friday to set up camp and staying all day Saturday. Love these shoots, looking forward to it! I need some arrows, might have to buy some while I'm there - all my current arrows are way to stiff for the bow I made to hunt with this year.

Terry, do I need to make a reservation for a primitive camp site or will there be plenty of space?

MS Bowman - I have tried in the past to call Tannehill and reserve a campsite, but they don't do that, it's all first come first serve. HOWEVER, they tell me every time (I've called at least 3 times over the last few years, I forget every time) that there is always room for primitive. They do run out of camper spots and powered spots though, so if you need power or running water you might want to check with them. The Gem and Geological thing they do is this weekend as well if I remember right, and they will take up some spots.

MS Bowman, when do you plan on getting here. There are round 300 campsites with power & water and pretty much unlimited primitive camping.

I've never heard of anyone not finding a place to camp during my event, BUT, the earlier you get here the better.

We will miss it this year. We thought about driving down Friday evening and shooting on Saturday. We just couldn't workout the logistics for all five of us. We have already been to the Kytradfest, Tennessee Classic, and 4 other smaller shoots this year. With Cloverdale and Compton coming up next, we needed to a weekend to just rest.

But, everyone enjoy yourselves. Looking forward to the pictures and stories.
