hello all, received my new to me wing, red wing hunter the other day from a fellow leatherwaller, it was a little rough around the edges but basicially a solid bow, i am almost done, it had holes for a quiver so i just stuck one on to fill them up for now, pulls about 45# at my 26" draw. hope you like it, rich pyle

RWH are great bows...a bit plain looking for some but I think they look nice in an understated way (like a '71 or '72 Grizzly) as they have great design, clean wood and nice lines. I have two...the 58" and the 52". I bet you'll really like it...looks nice from what I can see. Why not post some more pics, especially of the decal and the specs..is it a 50#?

Actually it says 48#@28" but pulls closer to 50#@28" on my scale. I will try to do more pictures. Rich pyle

RWH's are some of the most reliably sound hunting recurves out there. You're going to love how it shoots.

Wonderful bows! Even though they're a bit plain, they look like they are ready to go hunting! I love my RWH's!

Nice bow!

All of those older bows have class! What is the length of the Red Wing Hunter?

Thanks for sharing.

I'll bet all of us would like to hear how it shoots.

My 1st bow, '68, 58", 54#@28" RWH, still have her, still shooting great, added a 52" little sister a couple years ago, great little bows! I believe I paid $ 46 for it, no tax! I was 19yrs old, gettin' old guys! Paid $ 132 for the 52" from another LW'er, in great shape.

hello all, thanks for all the kind comments, the length is 58", i put on a leather side plate and one of my homemade feather rest, braced it at 8 1/2 inches and 3/8 inch nock heigth, i am using 50- 55 p.o.c. cut to 29" with 145grain up front. I must say it really shoots smooth and hard at 20 yards. i will try to post more pictures, sadly all i have is a cell phone so the pictures are not the best, rich pyle

It's nice...is there a Wing Decal on it? Like to see it. Is the serial # R7 or R3? It's interesting.

"Kelly" might happen along...he's a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Wing's.

As has been said you'll find your bow really punches an arrow.

My favorite "vintage" bow. Glad you are giving it the care it needs.

i had one early on when I got back into archery. They are good solid bows. They're like the Fender Stratocaster of recurves. to me, anyway. Mine was an older one with the smaller tips anD shot very well for it's 48#.
