I am looking to order a PSAX Widow with coco riser and yew limbs but I am stumped as to what type of coco looks best with yew. Coco comes in so many shades and colors that I am looking for ideas. So feel free to post pics of what you have. Thanks in advance.

You might like this one. Not mine- just a pic.

Cocobola & Osage.

Some people choose Yew because it won't darken like osage.

I am just not crazy about osage, seems like it clashes but I know a lot of people like the combo.

I like coco that's got a lot of red to it. Someone on here, Andy Man maybe, has a Black Widow PTF with cocobolo and it looks fantastic.

Any day now he's apt to go looking for it in that hall closet of his and wonder where the heck it went... best darned souvenir of my whole trip to the Pacific Northwest!

I know that cocobolo darkens over time. When it does, does it maintain the color or does it all turn plum black? I also like the orangey red coco, but I am concerned that it will alldarken over time. Any thoughts?

Some beautiful bows guys! Andy Man that color cocobolo on the fox maverick is my favorite color. Glad to know that it has maintained it's color over 10 yeras, that was a real concern of mine.

I know this is a coco with bocote limbs but I just love the color of this riser as well.

From looking at a bunch of them up close I wouldn't pay a premium for Cocobolo from BW b/c they are thinly laminated enough that they don't show off how good looking the wood is. Overall color will be right but continuous grain is interrupted. If I wanted red I'd go bubinga or osage for orange if cocobolo is more money
