These 2 bowyers seem to be offering a design very similar to each other. Anyone shot both and can offer a comparison? any and all feedback is appreciated.

I can not give a comparison as I've not shot the stalker, but I have a 56" Talon Hunter and it is a very well finished, quiet, smooth and quick shooter. It draws very smoothly and has no vibration when shot. Scott Mitchell is a great guy and I don't think you'll read or hear a bad thing about him. His service is top notch and so are his bows. I own three ( also have 2 longbows) and will have more in the future if my pocket book will allow it.
Don't think you'd have any regrets with a Timberhawk

Yes I have both or should I say I have several Timberhawks but only had one Stalker. Both bows are differant but shoot similair.
Whats your opinion on how a bow really should shoot when you direct the arrow. You tell the bow what to do it don't do it for you.
Do you like how it looks? How it feels? Is there refinish issues with the finish? I could name other things but they would depend on your knowledge of how to tune or get a bow to shoot for you.
Both good bows and no one would go wrong owning and shooting either.

I have had a 62" Timberhawk for years and have shot a Stalker on a few occasions. I think the Timberhawk draws smoother, especially if you have a longer draw length like myself. I could actually get away with a 60" Timberhawk, even at a 31" draw length.

Very different bows. The TH is a working limb and the Stalker is a static design (at least most of them are). The Stalker is very similar to a Wes Wallace or Blacktail
The Stalker is probably a little faster and the TH a little smoother and more forgiving. I also thought the TH was a tad quieter but that could of been the string and different arrow combo.
Both bows are very well made and have excellent customer service

Owned a Stalker,
South was very professional to work w/ and turned the bow out in reasonable time. I wasn't pleased w/ the finish(bluish smoky hue), file marks, and poor glue lines. I have seen other Stalkers since and non had the issues the bow I owned did.

I own both. The Stalker with the static limbs is difficult to string string with a standard tip to tip stringer. Good shooter but I disliked the finish. The Timberhawk is just a really smooth shooter and a joy to shoot. I really wanted to own the Stalker Wolverine but when I got the bow I had issues with the limb fit to the riser and South Cox did not volunteer to fix the problem. I had another bowyer fix it for me. The Timberhawk is a jewel to shoot, compared to the Stalker. The Timberhawk has a much larger riser than the Stalker and to me, is more dead in the hand. While both are excellent bows my choice is the Timberhawka, and I now own 2 two of these fine bows. I will take the smooth draw that Scott Mitchell designs into his limbs any day over the Stalker design.

I've got a Timberhawek Talon Premier, a Timberhawk Hunter, & a Stalker wolverline SL. I bought the Stalker at Denton Hill last year & is a real nice bow. Allthough I took a buck with it last fall, the grip just isn't for me & will be selling it soon. The Timberhawks fit me good & shoot very well(I've taken deer with both TH's) I never had any problems stringing the Stalker with a Selway stringer & as far as speed the Stalker might be alittle faster-I don't remember the chrony numbers- but the Timberhawk bows aren't far behind.

I'm probably biased, but I like the Timberhawks better. I have owned both and only have Timberhawks now. When seeing the Stalkers in pics they look really nice, but when holding one, the fit and finish wasn't what I expected. You won't find a better bowyer than Scott Mitchell. However I still say try and shoot them both and get what you like best. Good luck!

I'll also add that finding a used Timberhawk is extremely difficult, which I think is telling. People just don't part with them
