My new Timberhawk Talon Premier arrived yesterday. It is even more beautiful than I thought it would be. Pics don't do it justice. If you've never shot one of Scott's bows, check them out. You will be impressed.

I Have Two. A Talon Premier, and a Strike, both 60".
He has the Premier riser right now- it's getting a Thunderbird coat.
The Talon draws like a Bob Lee, like drawing into cotton candy.
You Will Love your Timberhawk. I opted for more of a one wood riser- Chechen.

Nice bows. I have a friend that is good friends with Scott so I spent a little time with them last year at Kalamazoo. He's a genuinely nice man as well as an excellent bowyer.

Saw Timberhawk at Kalamazoo few weeks back. I gripped a lot of bows that day but I would say the grip on the Timberhawks was the best that I felt that day. Just melts into your hand! The quality of Craftsmanship was second to none. I could see one of these in my future. Congrats SuperSlamSam! Hope you put a lot of meat in freezer with yours. I'll try attach a pic.

In addition to his great craftsmanship, Scott is an absolute pleasure to deal with. There may be some bowyers who are just as nice, but not nicer! Thanks for the pic meatCKR.

I just traded this week to get my third Timberhawk, definitely a fan here too. I'm actually surprised I don't see or hear more of them on this site, I love mine and couldn't be happier with them.

Scott did a nice job on this one too. I have one that would knock your eyes out. When I opened the box couple years ago first thing I though Gee I didn't order a Blacktail. LOL
That bow of mine sold more than a few bows for Scott.LOL
I had mine done in full gloss.
Good luck with yours.

LORD have mercy what a gorgeous bow!
Thanks for letting us enjoy it too!
See this is what's frustrating.....I get set thinking I want to get my long time dream bow....the Bear TD. Then I'll look at these bows you guys post and think "well, what about a Widow?" Then I'm onto another bow and another and another.
So many awesome bows out there. Almost too purtee to hunt with.

For those who are into stats, I provide the following :
my Strike is #51 @ 28 my Talon is #52 @ 28 I draw 28.5 on a fresh draw, probably get lazy to 28 even after that.
Both Bows Chrono the same :
With a 424g arrow, they chrono 180 to 184 FPS
With a 444g arrow they chrono 180-182 fps.
Always a 150 g point or broadhead.
THAT PIC- a one time thing I substituted a 125g point just to see. 182 seems to be the norm.

Years ago I shot one of Scott's bows and really liked it. I can only imagine how much they have improved given the years. Scott is a true gentleman for sure. Not sure what I bought back then, I think it was my bighorn bow. I still have it but I almost bought a bow from Scott. I always like the way he did his limb tips.

The Strike is excellent. A heavy Strike would be out of this world.
It is fast. Dead quiet with one EW Bateman standard puff, and one string leech on each end.
The Strike has actionwood cores, the Talon has boo cores. Both Chrono the same.
No stack in either . Due to the sheer weight of the Talon, I am steadier with it, but I shoot both very well now.

I thought his 1pc was a little faster than the TD. At least it seemed that way to me.
Scott's bows are very shootable. Smooth, quiet, and they point extremely well, probably because of the grip.
He also has incredible integrity and customer service

I have short draw, prob 26.5-27". My 50# talon hunter, prob around 47# at my draw, shoots a 420 grain arrow through the chrono at 174 fps with beaver fur puffs. Never shot the strike, but these bows are plenty quick, very quiet, and dead in hand. Plenty quick for my short draw
