I just got some sweet Bear Magnum .312's.

NIB, but the box is damaged and couple arrows had their tips removed. The rest are tipped with Bear Razorheads.

My question is this. Looking at the two with no tips there is no aluminum insert. It looks like a cast resin internal insert. Anybody remember these?

I have a few 8.4mm Metric Magnums.

They have an aluminum insert, but it is totally flush inside of the tube, not the stop shoulder of today's inserts. Weird.

Yes...the inserts on the early ones are a type of plastic. I have a bunch from the late 60's.
