Picked up a new to me Ben Pearson Palomino yesterday, should be on it's way here to Pa. today.Specs.are:Cat 973 Length 5'2 Serial 1208 Weight 40# Contacted Allen Shaffer and got her a new string, didn't come with one.Always wanted one to try out so now I have one, only thing is it is stamped Blemished,I'm hoping it's just a cosmetic issue.

Blems were cosmetic so no worries there. What year is it? There were made in several styles, mostly large risers which are great for field/hunting endeavors. The 62" is the best of both worlds.

I have a 1961 version of the Pal that is 40# and 66" long. Super smooth and super beautiful!
Good luck Dave

George from what I gather I think it's a 1962 model, not the larger riser and it has the Holly and Walnut riser.Rich

It looks to me like you might have scored one of the rosewood models. The walnut ones are pretty light compared to the rosewood. I have several of each and yes it looks like a 62.
