I received my new Classic Whip from Dan Toelke a few weeks ago. To say that I'm thoroughly impressed would be an understatement - it is so light and thin that it feels like a feather in my hand, and as smooth, fast and silent as anything I've shot. And Dan's communication and service was absolutely top-notch!

Awesome! I love my Classic whip too! Mine has a cocobolo rider and myrtle limbs, with beavertail leather grip. Dan does great work!

I love my Whip also. Have several of Dan's bows.

Thanks, folks. I was able to put another 50 arrows or so through it today and I'm more and more impressed. Just an absolute joy to shoot, and very well-mannered.

TBOZ - I like that myrtle/coco combo!

Another eye-opener for me, the more that I shoot this bow - Dan's endless loop strings, which are the strings that ship with every bow they make.

I've generally always used Flemish strings on my bows, and I confess - I figured one of the first things I would have to do is order a Flemish string for this one. I tried a few endless loop strings years ago, and never was all that taken with them. The Toelke endless loop string is unlike any I've shot before, and I'm really liking it. I don't know enough about the particulars of string design to say why this string is remarkably different than other endless loop strings I've tried, but I'm sold on them, and just ordered another from Dan. I do know that they use 8-strand FF, and use Crown for serving and padded loops. Whatever the secret is, there is some serisouly mojo in these Toelke strings, and they are very quiet, smooth and quick.

Great looking bow!!!! I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about this guy or his bows. Kinda refreshing. If I ever go the longbow route I will definently check him out first.

Tim, Dan makes one piece and take-down recurves that are every bit as well-mannered and beautifully crafted as his Whips and Super D longbows.

Dan is using Rhino for his strings now. I love his strings as well.

Thanks Jim. I'll check his web site out. I would like to see a 50's style recurve of his.

Tim, look at the "Chinook".
