Still having problems with hands and shoulders. Ordered a 30lb bow yesterday morning that I believe I can handle. Regardless, I will be down the weekend before, and Nancy and Joshua will be there either Thursday or Friday. I'm trying to talk her into taking him out of school on Friday so they can get there Thursday.

Me and the wife have it on our calendar. We went for the first time last year and really enjoyed ourselves. We were also taken back of how big the attendance was and yet no slowdowns shooting. Twin Oaks has it goin' on! Regards

Twin Oaks is a great site with really nice people. I ve never shot at a better archery site, if you haven't gone , it should be on your archery bucket list .

Meeting and Working tomorrow ,weather permitting, got lots to do and time moves so fast it will be here before you know it. We have a 2 day open shoot in March so that helps us get focused and start to get stuff together then it is full steam through April. The Classic has turned into a week event by several and folks start showing up the Weekend before, that's cool with me because I am there anyway and like the company but it make us have to be ready a week earlier. Pappy

Maybe this will be gone before the open shoot! However, it would be interesting shooting through the course in the snow, as long as you didn't miss!

As usual, my weekend to work, and I'll not make it. Great shoot though, I reccomend it to anyone !

I love the snow, when it's fallin', a couple of inches, then when it's gone.

Love to have you guys but I understand life happens. Clyde we have had snow before on the March shoot, it was pretty cool ,but as for a club it really hampers attendance, only the truly hard core will make it to most events if the weather is bad/Rain/Snow/to cold or to hot. The Classic is kind of an exception, folks seem to come bad weather or not. We sure didn't get much done this weekend/cold sleet and rain on top of the snow and ice made the very sloppy, I did get the kitchen set up and supply list made up/ some more wood hauled but mostly just fun around the shop and fire. Pappy

Pappy, Late yesterday morning the snow here was gone. This is what it looks like this morning. Joshua enjoys it more then we do. Quite a few fresh tracks in the yard, so I grabbed my camera and followed them for a while, and found theses bedded a little off the road a 1/2 mile or so from the house. A tad tiring walking in 8 inches of snow!

P.S.

You will have to get used to us showing up in a different vehicle.

Nice pictures Clyde, same here 6 inches yesterday and 0 this morning, supposed to be in the high 60's by mid week, go figure. I haven't shot much either Joe, we are still trying to get set up for our 2 day open coming up in a couple of weeks, the good news about that is it gives us a head start on being ready for the Classic. Got the concrete poured Wednesday for the peers, hope to get the cross poles on in a week or so. Crossing our fingers that it will be ready by the Classic, lots of work to go. Pappy

Got a lot done around Twin Oaks this weekend, got the practice course set and also widened the main gate to 16 foot so you folks with the big trailers won't have trouble getting in anymore. New flag pole set and lots of small projects finished up. little over 3 weeks . Pappy

Also got a new map in place, the old one had a bout had it.I think it is really cool after the Classic to look back at the map to see where all the folks came from. Pappy

Starting to pack the truck and camper. As I do every year, I'll have a table set up in front of my camper with some stuff for sale. Looks like I'll have a couple left hand bows for sale, and one old right hand Hoyt Pro Medalist that a friend gave me. Looks like maybe late 60s or early 70s. Has both stabilizers too. Have to pic Nancy up from the Metro Link station at Scott A.F.B tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. She's on her annual trip to Las Vegas with her sisters. Every year I wait for the call that she hit the jackpot, and I can buy a new bow, but it never happens! Figure I'll leave around 6 or 6:30 Monday morning. Stopping for gas and breakfast, I should be there no later then 10:30. I'm already getting into relax mode!

Heading to beautiful Twin Oaks in the morning. Should be about a 10 hour drive from Louisiana. The extended weather forecast looks good. Pappy's dance must have worked. Can't wait. Picked up some good cajun sausage for the low country boil if they have it this year. Great to catch up with old friends and camp in God's country.
