I am by no means a Root expert but there are definitely quite a few here who are and they will be along shortly...this bow is a recurve that seems to have been built very much like Ernie's longbows, very longbow-like limbs and riser

I just brought an older thread back to run with this one for a while...you will notice that Larry Root, Ernie's son, is a contributor...not a man who seeks the limelight but a truly great resource for all things Root...I will activate my buddy Rooty who often communicates with Larry and he will get the others going...hang on to ur hats folks

No spiral leather grips past 1959. There's a few company's. Bow blanks was another. He had it spilt a few ways. Not only a bowyer but a master at marketing. It's not an easy story to follow. For me it's the giggle I get shooting my gamemasters Ernie lives in those bows. Recently I've been shooting heavier bows. If and when a heavy weight comes up I'll be there.

Seattle Archery (FASCO) was making the Root Pendulus(sp.) Supreme around 1969.
