Are the black hunter goldtip(3555/5575) shafts the same spine as the trad goldtips(3555/5575) (I know the weight is different) but do they spine/tune differently?

I suspect the coating adds weight, but static spine would be the same.

The spine is not the same on the ones we have tested and shoot. The wrapped versions, wood or camo, spine a bit heavier than the black versions. Must be due to the very slight increase in diameter due to the wrap. I only have a wood shaft spine tester, but relatively speaking, the 600 blacks are several marks more flexible than the wood grain version. When shooting in my GMX you can see the difference. They are also quite a bit heavier. My shooting partner said he has found the same with the 500's.

I think they recently changed and are now the same and or at least very close

My black Exp Hunters spine right at .500 for 35/55. The traditional 35/55 spine at .460 , so to answer your question, the trade are slightly stiffer.

Should be trads not trade. Darn phone auto corrects!

Due to the extra weight, dynamic spine (in action) will be stiffer. If you are well tuned with the black shafts and are wanting to move over to trad shafts, I would plan on leaving the trad shafts longer...or adding more weight.
