Today's shot will be from 18 yards at a quartering away target. Simulate an overhead obstruction that interferes with your upper limb (or use something actual) and either crouch a little or cant you bow a lot more to have your bow limb miss the obstruction.

God Bless,

CD

Good Morning! Very first shot of the day as called. small apple tree in photo is at 15 so took couple of steps back to make it 18. crouched and canted to simulate toplimb obstruction. Seems that I have slight difference in the way my bow arm shoulder is rotated between first shot and subsequent shots. One of my many-many inconsistencies to ponder :). Thank you CD for calling the shot, as always, I appreciate these opportunities. Hope everyone have wonderful day today! -ted

Took the shot canted about 60 degrees to clear a limb in front of me also had to squat down. Results were about like usual on a hard quartering shot to far forward.

Took my shot crouching this morning. I think it would have worked. My next shot I canted the bow a lot and missed the target low! Good thing the First Shot was 'in there'! :)

Stay strong AMERICA!

They kind of missed on our 1" or less of snow! We have 4" and it is still snowing lightly. May have another shot this afternoon as the back side wraps through. Plowed down to the road pretty quick, this is the light, powdery stuff.

Shot taken crouched under a snow covered Juniper. Kind of squatting with a hard cant on the bow. Palmer Legend and a 2213 with a Zwickey Delta. Would have got it all with this one.

Thanks for the call CD. Everyone be safe if you are travelling this weekend or for the Holidays. Great day to all.

27 and cloudy. Heading out after this post to see if I can do this for real. Shot taken with the bow I'll hunt with today. Wes Wallace Royal longbow. I wore my hunting clothes, face mask, gloves to take these shots. Hope I have a good story to tell later. Have a good evening everyone.

Squatting with a hard cant shooting thru the rhododendron. Not to good I'm glad I don't have to track this one.
