...because I foolishly sold my Kanati to a gentleman who couldn't put his HH bows down long enough to enjoy shooting this one. He graciously sold my baby back to me.

good for you.

I shot a Jerry hill once.

Sounds to me like you love Kanati bows and the other guy loves HH style bows. :o) Either way, all good.

Stefan, glad I could get that bow back to you. I know you will shoot it and I just can't stop my ASL love. I have a problem, lol. Enjoy my friend.

The basic HH style longbows predate Howard Hill..but the style name kinda stuck... They are fine bows to use and shoot well once you and your bow-arrows get acquainted..:)..Jim

I'm a HH "Big Five" fan. I have one lined up to buy, an early 70's. It won't be soon enough.

Thanks again Steve, you're a good man. After running a couple dozen arrows through the Kanati, I can't believe I ever sold it. Hopefully it leads to a down payment for your addiction Steve!

That pic scares me every time I see it, Jim.

I'm kinda taken by Hill-style bows, too. I sooo badly want to trade an extremely beautiful but radically R/D'ed short "longbow" for (what would be my first) narrow-limbed Hill-style bow and keep offering it to sellers in the classifieds but haven't had any takers.

I've been wanting a Dave Johnson bow in Red Cedar at 45 pounds for the longest time. I LOVE those longbows!!

He's not making very many bows anymore and I don't know if I'll ever get one.

I might have to go with an Ekin Hill, a Northern Mist or a JD Berry and get to shooting it.

Just picked up a used Northern Mist Baraga and it is the finest longbow I have ever owned. Never did care for the Hybrids.

Glad you guys enjoy them. I can't shoot them, they make my teeth hurt. Guess I'm doing it wrong.

I've owned two Kanatis, and they are fine shooting, fast bows for sure.

Hybrids actually have a long and illustrious history as well, it just isn't a history that has gotten as much attention. But they were around long before Howard Hill...

It's great that we have so many excellent options these days. ASL's have never done much for me. I like the sexy curves (and the performance) of a well-designed hybrid.

Now there's two good looking bows!
