I am shooting 35/55 full length carbons. I think is 30.5" I am using 150grn points and it weighs 450grns. what spine wood do I need I dont wont the weight to go over 450grns. any help I appreciate it.

I draw 39# and 29" draw. A&H longbow 6strand SBD string.

About 55-60# should work, or 60-65# in POC. Might have trouble keeping the weigh at 450 grains though. More likely to end up closer to 500-525, give or take a little. That's one of the qualities of wood. As the spine goes up, so, too, does the physical weight.

60-65 spin 11/32 100gr tip 30-1/2" around 420gr.

Is your bow cut to, beyond or before center? If to or beyond what you have been told here will work. However if your bow is cut before center... your spine weight should be approximately 5 to 10#s LESS I shoot a 66" LB 50#@27 my draw length and am using arrows with a spine weight of 43-46#s and don't do too bad out to 40 yds. (I hit the target more times than not @ that distance. However I would not shoot @ live prey from that distance. My "hunting distance" is 25 yds. or closer.

To keep your arrow weight light you may consider a 5/16 shaft.
