Hey guys been lusting after an old Tamerlane forever and about to buy one. Anyone out there know where I can the old replacement arrow rest brushes ? Hope your all having a great Thanksgiving. Thanks.

Probably just about as easy to find a Tamerlane with the brush rest intact as it is to find a replacement

I made mine out of a toothbrush. If you look to old threads there are references to other means, I bought a bastardized HC 30 that had been added to than subtracted from. I was not willing to hunt for the brush rest so I had just made my own. I think the biggest hurdle with the Tamerlane is that the brace height is heigher than you would think.

by a higher brace , just how high are you talking

Everyone is looking for replacement brush rest. The best I am aware of is buying a Para Rest and cutting it to fit.

The brace height on my tamerlane is 9 3/4" tuned. and I have had it as high as 10 1/4".

We made up a new string for my 64 inch Kodiak Deluxe and it is a bit on the short side bracing at just over 9 inches...I shot it that way just to see and it is dead silent with no string silencers...when I found information on brace height for that bow the recommended range is 8 to 9 inches...never be reluctant to brace an old Bear bow on the high side, especially one that is made for target shooting

There have been a couple rests on Ebay in the past month or so. We've bought bows from a guy who also has a big stash of parts, and he's had them when we needed one. We'll PM you with contact. We have one T'lane that's 72", 35#, and it needs at least 10 inch brace height before it smooths out.... the others are all good around 8 1/2 to 9 inches. Bill
