I just bought a Ben Pearson Duke off the auction site as my first resto project and a bow for my wife. Any knowledgable folks here have info on this model? Not a lot of info on the web.

I plan on putting some before and after pics up once I recieve it

I looked at what I can pull up but I couldn't check sovereign. Could not find au 243 or duke. My phone can't do as much as a computer.. Good luck.

It was a youth model in Pearson's Sovereign series of bows, listed in the 1966-68 catalogs. That's all I know about it.

Unless I am mistaken, the Duke was one of Pearson's Golden Sovereign series. Also, unless I am mistaken, the Sovereign series usually (not always) had white glass and had names related to medieval titles (Knight, Duke, Baron, etc.) 60s era, limited edition, unless I am mistaken. Good shooting, God and Christ Bless

Yes it has white glass and will need some TLC to get it going but it is sized perfect for the wife. I've searched the posts on here and no previous discussions on it. I think it's a '66 to '68 model

Ive got a Duke, 25# @ 26", 54" Golden Sovereign silk screen label, but it has brown glass face and belly. No idea what the vintage is. Nice little bow for the kids.

just looked it up in the 1967 Robin Hood Catalog ... says it was the junior member of the Sovereign line - for beginners, teenagers, schools, and camps ....... small semi-pistol grip and thumb rest ......recurved limbs ..... multiple wood core laminations for even draw and uniform strength .... sold for $19.95 ....... hope this helps ......
