These bows seem very intriguing, does anyone have one? How is it set up? Do you like it? Thanks, Craig

I have one. Got it for $290 bucks delivered from custom king. I think it is worth the money especially the 30 year warrantee that is transferable to the next owner. Nice selling point if you decide to sell it.

Mines is 58 inches and 50# @ 28. The bow is incredibly light and very maneuverable. The grip is good and fits the hand well for repeatable placement. The draw is smooth and stack free but I only have a 26.5 inch draw. It does fling an arrow very good though even for my short draw length. The bamboo limbs are nice with very good glue lines.

The only downside I would say is the finish is rough and I thought the bow was made in Germany. When it arrived the plastic bag it was in said "Made in Czech Republic". But these are minor things and don't take away from how nice the bow is. I may lightly sand it and apply a nice smooth epoxy finish to it someday but for now, I have a very nice hunting bow that I am not afraid to bang around in the woods with.

The string it came with is pretty good but I am partial to D-10 so I had one twisted up for me. For the 58 inch bow a 56 inch D-10 string is perfect.

They are built very nice and clean. But thr arrow shelf is kind of sloped to the side of the bow. The grip was comfortable but too small for me. Cant beat the price.

The "Czech Republic" is part of eastern Europe and from Germany is like driving to the next state. Best pair of boots I ever owned came from that area. The Czech Republic is a developed country with an advanced, high income economy and high living standards. It is a member of the European Union, NATO, the OECD, the OSCE and the Council of Europe.

Check out Wolfie Hughes, very good archer from Wales shooting the Slick Stick.

Check out peteward.com for his testing of the bow...Pete seemed quite impressed with it...the last time I was in Calgary at our mutual friend Dennis's place he was waiting on 20 of them to come in...one does not order 20 bows at a time unless they will sell

Check this out if you wonder how a company can guarantee a bow for 30 years.

Wojo14 has a 58 inch 50# for sale, $250 if you're interested. Right now Kustom King only has 40# unless you're a lefty.

LMAO......kind of distinguishes the men from the boys in bow building right there, gents. Why don't we ask the American bowyers to step up to the plate and attempt the same. Some might revisit their politics as a result, do ya' think?

If I hadn't bought a Northern Mist at a great price I was going to order the Bodnik "Dakota". I still might.

These are a very nice bow, that shoot good. As for where they are made, the SLICK stick is made in Germany, not Chec republic. The LITTLE stick is the bow that was made in the Chec Republic. Very similar bows in appearance, however the Slick Stick has Bamboo limbs, and a slightly diferent grip ,The Little stick does not have bamboo limbs and is no longer being made. Pete

Good information Pete, I couldn't find the location of the manufacture.

They have a new factory in Germany where the Slick Stick, Quick Stick, and Mohawk are being built. Soon all of the bows will be made in Germany other than the ones going to Brazil. They made a factory in Brazil just for the Brazilian market, due to the High Duty levied by Brazil on imports and the volume of bows needed there. I think the duty was near 80% , but could be wrong on the number.

For those who've never shot a bamboo backed bow, you should......they are a God send for those who love smooth pulling sticks.

Mine is 35# and flings 600 Easton ST Epics with 145 grain heads like they were made for it. My buddy who makes and shoots mostly 60# longbows loved it. He even traced the profile so he can make one similar in 45#. He was surprised how hard it shot for a 35# bow.

Roger, These are not Bamboo backed bows, they are bamboo cores under clear fiberglass .

High demand for bows in Brazil?? Is Brazil the new Korea of Archery?

From: roger

Pete, yes, I understand that. Just making reference to other types of bamboo bows.....They're all good. :)
