Foo -
Without seeing it in person, the fact that it crosses several lamination materials and the lines are so "regular", it seem that it would have to be scratches in the finish, like something was dragged across it.
Horizontal "cracks" in limb glass are always a red flag, but those don't seem like cracks. Simple check is if the lines get wider when strung/drawn.
Since they are most likely finish scratches, it should be a fairly easy repair.
Viper out.

Yes it was my post last Friday. I got the bow today and the lines do "open" up or get larger on side of bow when strung. Hard for me to check it when I'm shooting ;-) my neighbor will be by to help check that tomorrow or Wednesday yet I'm sure they do. It's a new bow to me as of today and love it!

The gentleman I got it from was straight up and honest about it and even offered to take it back, yet it's a keeper! No matter what it needs

I had a finish do that on a bow of mine and I just sanded it off and refinished. Mine wasn't quite that bad and I don't remember it going down the edges but it looked just like the face of that limb.

I ain't dire wolf either, but that looks to me like a bad batch of Fullerplast. I'd suggest sanding the darn thing, at least in the working part of the limbs and see if it's just in the finish. If so, sand it down to the wood and glass and spray with a good poly a couple times.

I have seen that before on an older Anderson Skookum, it was finish only. Call Fred, he is a great guy and probably can advise best solution.

Nothing wrong with the bow, just needs a strip down and refinish. Just the spray got a little to thick(easy to do, when spraying) the side of the bow limb has the same problem. james

Those Anderson bows sure don't have the finish longevity of the Drake bows. I suppose Harry didn't teach his pupil properly.

Those horizontal lines across the limbs can also be polished out. I've done that on a couple of bows I wanted to keep the original finish on.

This is stress fracturing, hopefully in the finish only. By looking at the pictures it does not look like its in the glass. Used fullerplast years ago hate the stuff if this is whats on your bow refinish it! Have seen this in a lot of older short bows also. Since she has not broke on you it should be alright

I concur.... sand it off, completely, end to end, and refinish. I've seen lateral stress lines in glass which eventually failed, but they've never gone around the side of the bow onto the other side like that.

the lines are w-aaaaay too uniform to be scratches. I think the bow has been w-aaaay over-drawn. These cracks look like over- compression or over-expansion cracks. .....can't tell which side (front or back)

The lines are classic finish cracks. No way the glass or wood is cracked like that and still be shot without a failure of epic proportions. That finish is the cheap and fast finish thats used on musical instruments by the looks of it. Its hard and brittle.

Nope..NOT scratches of damage to the bow's glass or limb edges..
Simply crazing in the finish.. Not sure what Fred used on that one as far as finish goes?....
IF they bother you( they are cosmetic) start with a gentle rub out using 0000 steel wool wetted with olive oil..with frequent wipe downs to check your progress..
They will probably rub down & out without having to completely strip the old bow and totally refinish..but you can always do that if necessary..
When you work..take care on the sharper surfaces( limb edges as the rub out can cut thru finish there quicker than on the flat surfaces.. Once the marks are gone..you'll still have some finish left..CLEAN the surfaces well with a wipe down using acetone and soft rag..THEN apply your new finish overcoating..Jim
