It's a Fred Anderson bow I'm looking at buying. Looks like a complete new finish? An advice would be helpful

Might be very little, might be a lot...very hard to tell what is going on there from just a picture...it could just be a finish issue but it could also be indicative of a structural issue

A Fred Anderson longbow? Osage lams, glas with a maple lam in between?... Looks to me to ALL be finish issues.. Get some 0000 steel wool and some olive oil and gently rub those marks out..Refinish if need be but I don't think so..

NOT in the laminations..but contact Skookum and ask Fred about it..Jim

I think that was Fred's personal bow. He marked every time he took a gopher. He's quite the hunter with an impressive tally!
