Has anyone received a 2015 model Bear Super Kodiak phonelic riser yet? Any word on when they will start filling orders?

From: Florida lime

I remember that they were expected to be several months out from when they were announced.

I'd expect Big Jim would be the best person to answer the question of when.

Bravo for Bear for giving archers what they want. I'd like to see one as well.

I did see the one on their website. I should have said that I want to see one in person.

I wouldn't look for any this year. I have a bunch on order and they are being gobbled up by those getting on our waiting list. If you would like to get one, I wouldn't wait until they start showing up as you will likely end up with an additional 9+ month wait. The waiting list is the fastest way to any Bear right now. I do however have several 59's and just got in a batch of 2014 limbs and 59's to boot. Also a couple of A two tone risers and a B two tone LH riser in stock. thanks,

BigJim

Is there still a waiting list for the regular super kodiak?

yep! pretty much a waiting list for everything unless a dealer has it in stock. They only have so many people and if they are busy making one model, they certainly can't be making another.

Might as well just get a thunderchild for the wait then!

Where are all the Bear naysayers that proclaimed these bows won't sell?......LOL....Nobody can even keep them on the shelves.

I just went to Bear's web site and don't see any Super Kodiaks at all now. Mine that I got back in February just blew up on me this week and within half an hour of that happening I had a return authorization from Bear customer service, but have no idea how long it may take to get a replacement. I am somewhat concerned since they are not even showing the SK on their web site right now. Anybody know why?

david

bear shows the new super kodiak in the pic and if you click on the brown block by the black one or new one it comes right up the one like you had blow up i assume .the diamond wood

When I go to the Bear web site, and click on traditional bows, I get a line up in faint shades of gray showing their bows but the Super Kodiak is not in the line up at all. Don't know why I get a different web page than other folks.

Oh, yeah, it was the black and gray dymonwood model. I really like that bow--the bottom limb delaminated at full draw while anchored. Like to have messed my pants!

roger, and they hired a pile of folks to train as well. Bear is doing an awesome job. Now the same naysayers complain about not being able to get one. Go back in the archives and read about how Bear would never do what they are doing now. You'll find those guys.

Thanks, Gary. For some reason when I go to the Bear web site directly and click on the traditional bow button I get a line up that does not show any SKs at all. :o( That looks great. It would not hurt my feelings if they replaced my busted bow with that. LOL. I wonder how much dymondwood they have in stock seeing that the factory that produces it burned down and it will take a while to get it back up and going.

The Bear naysayers were out trick-or-treating last night. They gobbled down too much candy, got tummy aches, and are now typing angry tweets about QC at The Hershey Company

Been eyeballing the 68-69 Super Ks for quite a while, being able to get a new one in 64" in the draw weight I want, with a warranty.... More than I wanted to spend, just the same, started a slush fund, pretty sure I need to get my hands on one...

What is the price of the new phenolic model?

From: MStyles
Date: 01-Nov-14

$799.99 so says the Bear Website.

From: VA Bowbender
Date: 01-Nov-14

$799.99 with a warrantee isn't too bad seeing my wife bought me a "68" for $500.00.

How can you only make one model at a time? Didn't work that way in the past ...they cranked out hundreds of EVERY model a day in Grayling! What a joke! They 're factory bows. Now you can get nearly any custom built faster?

From: Yunwiya

Waiting to see one

From: Phil Magistro

I don't know about getting a custom bow faster. Sure some bowyers can do that but the ones that folks really want have long waiting lists.

I'm just glad to see them listen to bowhunters and bring back these old classics.

I ordered one Sept. 26th, the day after they where announced. The Bear rep. that my dealer was on the phone with said they had been getting lots of orders for that one. I was the second call in row for one that morning, the dealer ahead on me had ordered 15. The estimate on arrival for me was around Thanksgiving. I'll have to wait and see if that holds true but even for the guys that didn't mess around, turkey day will be the earliest from what I found out.

The originals have been flooding the big auction site like crazy. Before the announcement I was seeing maybe one or two a month. Now there are constant multiples at the same time and it's been that way since early October.
