Onehair-- I'm thinkin' any deer that walks in and looks straight up at you is reasonably sharp. He probably has a name for you too .... ha! ..... if youre' huntin' big deer, I would leave the camera alone ....but heck, that's what it's ALL ABOUT-- happy huntin'

You can learn a lot about animals by watching instead of shooting. Leonard should be a little smarter next year, if he makes it.

Not only can you learn by watching them live but I learned you can watch them on your cam cameras as well and learn their actions. I got some good cam pictures this week and learned.

Nice pic!

Change your tree to one 20 yards away and maybe give him a surprise when he looks up.

I nick named one "Dopey" several years ago, he would come running every time I used a call, he was my buddy, worst day of that season was when he got shot in gun season. Still tell stories about Dopey every year:)

You have just educated one of them.

One Hair ~ maybe he thought you were goofy, thinking "What's that crazy human doing up a tree?" LOL

Had a goofy young buck running around by my stand Tuesday afternoon. He was running back and forth peeing all over, feeling the rut. Pretty comical, had to keep myself from laughing out loud, he looked like he just had no clue what to do with himself!

I'm pretty sure that most of us have been like Jay B's young buck.

Cool pic! There's a 8pt running around TN this evening that has a name for me, it's "One Who Drops His Hand"!!!! Speck

I am surprised no one pointed out my arrow holder.

From: dingas

Well now that you point it out - what is that?

From: WV Mountaineer
Date: 02-Nov-14

It's a stick that is shoved in between the grip. It sticks up over the riser and holds the arrow. It is an ingenious idea and it works great for feather fletched arrows properly tuned to any bow. God Bless

I pull it before the shot.
